Team Evie Reading Challenge

Today, Gregg from Team Evie, called into school for a very special assembly.  He talked to the children, explaining that all the money they raised during their sponsored reading challenge, would go towards providing mobile libraries for children in hospital.  Each book bought with the money our pupils raised will have a label inside so that the reader knows that book was bought by children in St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Workington.

Although we still have a little sponsor money to collect, he was overjoyed by the amazing amount everyone raised! We are proud to announce that, to date, St Mary's pupils raised an amazing £1110.58.

We cannot tell you how proud we are of all our children.  We will update you on the total amount collected on Friday, when all the money should of been handed in by then. Gregg will then pop back to school with our certificate.

Once again, a huge thank you to our children and their families.
