Welcome

Welcome to Year 2!

We all hope you have had a lovely break over the summer holidays and are just as eager and excited as us to begin your new adventure in Year 2. It is going to be a year full of adventure, fun, excitement and challenge.

We are all going to succeed together with the help of our two classroom adults. We have Mr Graham who is our class teacher and Mrs McCreadie who is our wonderful classroom support. Together, we will create everyday learning opportunities that are interesting and help you prepare for real life as we support your transition to Key Stage 2. We will provide a ladder so that you can reach your potential, and will celebrate and reward personal achievements.

We are not afraid to make mistakes and work together to overcome any barriers. We treat each other with respect and therefore our classroom is always a happy, safe and enjoyable place to be.

Let's dream big - we can do this!

Year 2 Class Saint

Saint Patrick (Feast Day - 17th March)

Saint Patrick was a missionary who helped to make Ireland a Christian country. He is now the patron saint of Ireland. Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated every year on March 17.

Year 2 Class Charity

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) brings pioneering pre-hospital care to the scene recuing hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year. The service is not NHS-funded and relies on charitable donations. Year 2 are keen to contribute in any way they can, and promote the importance of such an invaluable service.
