Year 1 trip to St Bees.

Year 1 had a great trip to St Bees on Monday 23rd May 2022

Our Geography topic was 'Why do people visit the seaside?' and now we definitely know why!

We had lots of fun on the beach. We had a scavenger hunt, explored the rock pools and learnt about the amazing work carried out by the RNLI. We were even lucky enough to have a ice cream which we enjoyed in the sunshine.

Year 4 trip to Helena Thompson Museum

The children in Year 4 visited the local museum to learn all about their local area.

The children started with a walk a round Workington Hall, where they had the chance to listen to a guide who told them lots of information about the hall in the past.

The children then went back to the museum to take part in activities that the volunteers had created. They looked at maps of the local area, played games involving the local area and even had a go at creating their own Workington Hall!

The children had a fantastic day and were able to learn so much about their local area and build upon their existing knowledge.
