Welcome to year 3!
Year 3 is a fantastic year for pupils at St Mary's school. We have a wonderful teaching assistant, Mrs Lowrey and myself (Miss Newton) as class teacher, who will be working with your children all year. Year 3 will be a mix of engagement, challenge and fun and we cannot wait to begin our Year 3 journey with your eager learners.
St Christopher
St Christopher lived in the 3rd century and it is said that he carried a child, who was unknown to him, across a river before the child revealed himself as Christ. Therefore, he is the patron saint of travelers. A small image of him is often worn around the neck; on a bracelet or carried in the pocket of Catholics.
