Personal reading book to be read every night for at least 20 minutes and this needs to be recorded into reading journals. Reading journals will be checked every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

 

Spellings:

Spellings have been uploaded onto this page and have been recorded in their individual reading diaries. Your child needs to learn the spellings specific to their coloured groups.

 

Red Group Spellings: even, theme, these, evening, eve, delete, Chinese, complete, athlete, extreme 

 

Blue Group Spellings: sadly, completely, wildly, bravely, gently, foolishly, proudly, horribly, nervously, happily

The children have access to TTrockstars where they can practise their times tables through play. They should spend at least 15 minutes a day on this. This can also be recorded in reading journal and will be closely monitored in school. Each week there will also be challenges set against other year groups. We can do this, Year 5
