Parents’ Evening Video How-To Guide For Parents

TOP TIP! Read the Parent How-to Guide Above!

What is Parents’ Evening Video?

Parents’ Evening Video is an addition to Parents Evening, which has been, up until now, for in-person events. Parents’ Evening Video allows schools to host parents’ evenings over a safe and secure video platform, which reduces the need for in-person events during a difficult time. Parents’ Evening Video is quick and easy for parents and guardians to use!

Before you Start.

There are a few things that you’ll need to have before you’re able to have a virtual meeting with a teacher. If you don’t have access to mobiles, computers and/or internet, please make your school aware so they can assist you or make alternative arrangements.

Before the Video Call.

Before the parents’ evening begins, you will receive a link to the video call either via email or text message. When you click on the link provided, a window will open in your web browser. This is where the video calls will take place.

TOP TIP!

Before you start a video call, we recommend that you check your network and microphone/camera settings using these links: networktest.twilio.com test.webrtc.org

WEAR A RAINBOW DAY - FRIDAY 16TH JULY

We are joining in with the Cash for Kids Wear a Rainbow day on Friday 16th July (the last day of term).

It’s a fun day where all children can get dressed up bright & colourful – children can go wild with all the colours of the rainbow! Plus we’re asking everyone who wears their rainbow to come to nursery or school with a £2 donation for Cash for Kids.

It’s been a tough year for so many families. Whether they’ve been directly affected by the pandemic, or are caring for children who are seriously ill, disabled or who have additional needs, Cash for Kids wants to help. Donations from Wear Your Rainbow Day will enable the charity to be there for these families who need us now more than ever.

For more information on ‘Wear a Rainbow’ and ‘Cash for Kids’, visit: https://planetradio.co.uk/cfm/charity/events/wear-your-rainbow-day-2021-cfm/
