    Dear Parents/Carers,

    Childcare if schools close

We are planning for the possibility that schools will close. If NHS and social care employees cannot attend work because of childcare responsibilities this will create a major problem for health and care services that will directly affect their ability to care for seriously ill people.

It is possible that if schools close, some schools may be required to remain open to provide childcare for school age children whose parents work in health or social care and cannot make alternative childcare arrangements.

To help us prepare for this possibility we are asking families in these circumstances to complete this form with their contact details.

NONE OF THIS IS CERTAIN AND WE AWAIT GOVERNMENT GUIDANCE, BUT WE WANT TO BE PREPARED IN CASE WE GET TO THIS POINT.

The information we are collecting will be deleted if it is not required.

Complete the online form here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/BMQHDGY

If you cannot complete the form online speak to your child’s school.

  • Aspiration Day

    Mon 12 Nov 2018

On Monday 12th November Class 5 took part in an aspiration event in school.  The event was to show our pupils a range of careers they could choose in the future and what skills each career requires.

We were visited by a range of people who had chosen different career paths.

Children learnt that they can aspire to be anything and that application and a positive attitude will get them further than anything else.

They found out that choices are not fixed and that it is possible to change careers as they will learn lots of transferable skills along the way.

Children spent time speaking to the visitors to gather information about their jobs and ambitions.

A huge thank you to all the visitors who gave their time to help the children think of their futures.
