    Online Safety

At St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, we are committed to helping our pupils become safe, responsible and confident users of technology. Online safety is taught throughout the school using a range of high-quality resources, including 1Decision, Ten:Ten, Picture News and Pol-Ed. These resources provide age-appropriate learning opportunities that help children understand how to stay safe online, protect their personal information, build positive digital relationships and respond appropriately to online risks.

Our online safety curriculum is delivered through PSHE, RSHE, Computing lessons and wider curriculum opportunities, ensuring that key messages are regularly revisited and built upon as children progress through school. By learning about online safety in a variety of contexts, pupils develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

Through our online safety education, pupils learn to make informed choices online, recognise potential risks and understand how to seek help and support when needed.

Please see our PSHE Curriculum Maps for more detailed information about the online safety topics covered in each year group.
