Early Help

At St Mary’s, we are committed to working closely with families to ensure every child has the support they need to thrive. Sometimes families may need a little extra help with challenges such as attendance, behaviour, emotional wellbeing, relationships, housing, finances, or other concerns that may affect a child’s development.

Early Help is a voluntary process that brings together families, schools, and other appropriate services to identify needs early and provide support before difficulties become more serious. Through an Early Help Assessment, families can work with professionals to create a plan that builds on strengths, identifies areas for support, and agrees practical actions to help achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
