Year 6 enjoyed their “Dream Big” workshop where they found out about different occupations in Cumbria and different routes people take to reach their desired job. They were joined by Raegan from Workington Nature Partnership, Richard (an engineer) and Faith (a Degree Apprentice Project Manager) from Sellafield and Terry the Science Viking.
Our visitors told the children about their careers and spoke about different transferable skills, including: problem-solving, speaking and listening skills and team work. The children were brilliant at interviewing the visitors before children took it in turns to interview each other! The workshop inspired children to think big, explore opportunities and to follow their dreams!
